Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of Ethereum (ETH) on it’s Amazon Managed Blockchain. Ethereum is currently the second most popular decentralised framework that uses a peer to peer network which allows it’s participants to initiate transactions without a central authority.
AWS has mentioned on their official site that their customers will be able to deploy Ethereum nodes in minutes and will be able to connect to the Ethereum network and test networks such as Rinkeby and Ropsten. With Amazons managed blockchain, users will get the following:
Encryption at rest and transport
Secure access to the network via standard open-source Ethereum APIs
Fast and reliable syncs to the Ethereum blockchain
Durable elastic storage for ledger data
Amazon Managed Blockchain also monitors the node health and unhealthy nodes. AMB automates Ethereum software development and upgrades. This improves the availability of customers Ethereum infrastructure.
As well as being able to build DeFi applications, customers will be able to build analytic products such as smart contract monitoring tools and also fraud detection software.
Ethereum on AMB is now available in the following regions: US East (N. Virginia), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (London).
